In this episode I talk to Sir Philip Davies, former conservative member of Parliament for Shipley in Yorkshire for 19 years. I first met Philip in 2017 when the Women’s Equality Party decided to parachute a feminist candidate into his constituency to challenge his long-held tenure there in the general election. The mainstream media awarded them huge amounts of airtime. It was to no avail as Philip was re-elected with over 50% of the vote. The Women’s Equality Party were humiliated after getting even less votes than The Monster Raving Looney Party.

Philip lost his seat in the 2024 election which saw the Conservatives lose power to the Labour Party. Philip left politics after this and is now working in the private sector.

In this podcast we talk about Philip's long tenure in parliament, his advocacy of men and women’s equal rights, his adventures on the board of the Women and Equalities Committee, his hope he can one day meet Donald Trump, plus…

*I mistakenly called the Women’s Equality Party the Women and Equalities Party, mixing it up with the Women and Equalities Select Committee which we talk about elsewhere.
